IT WON'T LAST FOREVER...NOW IS THE TIME !!!

NOW IS THE TIME, NOW IS THE DAY OF SALVATION!!!
REPOST!!! (Originally posted 9/22/12.

Her encounter with the angel is described as follows:
I saw in his hand a long spear of gold, and at the iron's point there seemed to be a little fire. He appeared to me to be thrusting it at times into my heart, and to pierce my very entrails; when he drew it out, he seemed to draw them out also, and to leave me all on fire with a great love of God. The pain was so great, that it made me moan; and yet so surpassing was the sweetness of this excessive pain, that I could not wish to be rid of it. The soul is satisfied now with nothing less than God. The pain is not bodily, but spiritual; though the body has its share in it. It is a caressing of love so sweet which now takes place between the soul and God, that I pray God of His goodness to make him experience it who may think that I am lying.[4]

 The Argument From Desire

All of humanity feels the weight of some Law of Human Nature,
which dictates to everyone's conscience a common sense of
Right and Wrong, yet all of us fail to live up to it.

“Pride gets no pleasure out of having something,
only out of having more of it than the next man"...
It is the comparison that makes you proud:
the pleasure of being above the rest.

Once the element of competition is gone, pride is gone.”

Every natural, innate desire in us corresponds to some real object
that can satisfy that desire.  But there exists in us a desire which
nothing in time, nothing on earth, no creature can satisfy.

Therefore there must exist something more than time,
earth and creatures, which can satisfy this desire.

This something is what people call "God" and "life with God forever."

Most people if they had really learned to look into their own hearts,
would know that they do want and want acutely, something that cannot
be had in this world. There are all sorts of things to give it to you but
they never quite keep their promise."We do not want to merely “see”
beauty–though, God knows,  even that is bounty enough.

We want something else which can hardly be put into words–
to be united with the beauty we see, to pass into it, to receive it into ourselves,
to bathe in it, to become part of it."

"At present we are on the outside… the wrong side of the door.
Almost as if you were inside a glass darkly looking out.
We discern the freshness and purity of morning, but they
do not make us fresh and pure.

We cannot mingle with the pleasures we see.

But all the pages of the New Testament are rustling
with the rumor that it will not always be so.

"If I find in myself a desire which no experience in this world can
satisfy, the most probable explanation is that I was made for another world."
 — C.S. Lewis

Someday, God willing,
We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed.
We will put on glory… that greater glory of which
Nature is only the first sketch."

The Seven (7) Deadly Sins

Beginning in the early 14th century, the popularity of the seven
deadly sins as a theme among European artists of the time
eventually helped to ingrain them in many areas of Catholic
culture and Catholic consciousness in general throughout the world.
One means of such ingraining was the creation of the mnemonic
"SALIGIA" based on the first letters in Latin of the seven deadly sins:
superbia, avaritia, luxuria, invidia, gula, ira, acedia.[3]

In the Book of Proverbs (Mishlai), King Solomon stated that the Lord
specifically regards "six things the Lord hateth, and the seventh His soul
detesteth." namely

1)A proud look.
2) A lying tongue.
3) Hands that shed innocent blood.
4) A heart that devises wicked plots.
5) Feet that are swift to run into mischief.
6) A deceitful witness that uttereth lies.
7) Him that soweth discord among brethren.

The
Roman Catholic Church also recognizes seven virtues,
which correspond inversely to each of the seven deadly sins.

Mystery and Victory 1 Corinthians 15:49-55

I tell you this, brothers: flesh and blood cannot inherit the
kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.

Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep,
but we shall all be changed,  in a moment, in the twinkling
of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will
sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable,
and we shall be changed.  For this perishable body must put
on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality.
When the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on
immortality, then shall come to pass the saying

that is written:

"Death is swallowed up in victory."
“O death, where is your victory?
O death, where is your sting?”

“Now is our chance to choose the right side.
God is holding back to give us that chance.

It won't last forever. We must take it or leave it.”
NOW IS THE TIME.
C.S. Lewis, Mere Christianity

"In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day
of salvation I helped you." I tell you, now is the time of God's favor,
now is the day of salvation. 2 Corin 6: 2

  1. Only God knew the time and place of His arrival - it's already over, as in earlier this year. Not all of Revelations happened at once; Nero & Rome were the Beast & Scarlet woman. Armageddon was championed now; Lucifer dealt with. All but the very ending has happened now - but not to what man has rewritten - only to God & his child's designs. The last chapter awaits.

You have your last chance NOW.
