MICHAEL FOREVER TRIBUTE

Michael Jackson's mother Katherine and his siblings LaToya, Tito,
Marlon and Jackie attended a press conference in LA on Monday
at the Beverly Hills Hotel to announce the news, stating that the
Michael Jackson Forever Tribute Concert will take place on 8th
October at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium.

Speaking on the event, Katherine told the press:
"This is a world-class event so I decided to join in.
When I was told about the possible lineup I knew it would
be an event fit for a king".

I'd like to thank all the fans who have kept supporting us.

"Thank you all so much for keeping my son's legacy alive."

Despite Katherine's comments, her sons - Randy and Jermaine Jackson -
have stated they feel the concert is "inappropriate" because it clashes
with the court case of Michael's former doctor, Conrad Murray, who is
accused of the Thriller singer's manslaughter.

RE: THE MICHAEL JACKSON TRIBUTE CONCERT July 25, 2011
Today's (cont)

"There will come a time and place for an amazing and deserving
tribute to Michael. But we feel that the most important tribute
we can give to our brother at this time is to seek justice in his name."

It is currently unknown who will be performing at the event, with
reports suggesting that artists are expected to be announced
early next month.

Tickets are due to go on sale on Wednesday 3rd August,
with the hope of raising funds for three charities.

  1. Appears to be two charities on the website: APLA (US) which addresses AIDS and Prince's Trust (UK) which helps young people become employed. Would be interesting to know how these two were selected and why. Loved the graphics and design of the website. Don't understand why Jermaine is worried about the timing of this concert when his own book is also slated to be released in September when the trial begins. Unless of course they are anticipating yet another delay in the trial which absolutely would be par for the course with this whole thing.
