In an unprecidented interview today Kanye West Explains Michael Jackson 'Runaway' Scene MC says he used King of Pop's likeness to represent cult mentality.

In a production wrought with powerful imagery, the Michael Jackson procession scene in Kanye West's film debut, "Runaway," is among the most impactful and intriguing.

Around seven minutes into the movie, which centers on the
ill-fated romance between West's character, Griffin, and a
phoenix played by Selita Ebanks, fireworks herald a parade
of a crimson-clad marching band flanked by a mob of followers
sporting pointed hoods reminiscent of the garb worn by the
Ku Klux Klan. The band surrounds a larger-than-life illuminated
bust of the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson, while Griffin a
nd the phoenix excitedly look on.

When West sat down with MTV News' Sway for a live Q&A session that followed the film's premiere Saturday (October 23) on MTV, he explained that he juxtaposed Jackson's likeness with the hooded marchers to make a comment about the potent pull of cult mentality.

"The hood, what it does represent to me ... in relation to the
Michael Jackson thing is not the KKK but the concept of cult,
because it's multiple people with this hood on," West explained.

"It's me taking [the phoenix] to my world and saying,
'Let me show you what my world is about.' "

West said he invoked the image of the late icon, whose expansive
cultural reach was unparalleled, to demonstrate the energy of
the pop realm.

"The greatest, biggest pop-cultural figure of all time,
arguably bigger than Jesus Christ, is Michael Jackson.
You have the band in front of him, marching ... and you have the cult around it," West said, before explaining the scene that precedes the procession, of a young boy in mid-sprint brandishing a flaming baton.

"If you saw the kid in the beginning, he's running and running
at top speed holding his torch, and his torch represents his
thoughts and ideals. At the end, after he's been cultivated,
he has the hood on now and he's walking extremely slow.
That's basically how people think," West said.

"It's the way society has set people up to be able to control
them, slave mentalities."

Yeezy added that coaxing people into social conformity is an
effective form of control — assuming the followers don't
decide to break away on their own trails.

A Los Angeles judge said Billie Jean was not
Michael Jackson’s lover – and now he is facing
the potential consequences.

A woman who says she’s Billie Jean Jackson is suing
Judge Mitchell Beckloff for discrimination, emotional
distress and prejudice, in a $600 million lawsuit filed
in LA Superior Court on Tuesday, RadarOnline.com
has learned. Judge Beckloff had previously thrown
out Billie Jean’s claims that she was married to the
pop star and is son Blanket’s birth mother.

But in the new lawsuit, Billie Jean, who is representing
herself, claimed Judge Beckloff failed to provide her the
chance to prove paternity through a DNA test.

“The loss has harmed the Plaintiff emotionally and physically
and has kept her from her son and their home while other
families remain free from stalkers and are afforded protection
of the Courts, her stalker, Lisa Marie Presley prevails."

Judge Beckloff is the presiding judge over Jackson's
multi-million estate.

Never-before-seen portraits of Michael Jackson shot by French
photographer Arno Bani in 1999 will hit the block this October
at the Pierre Berge Associes auction house.

In one of the photographs revealed to the press, titled simply
"Michael Jackson's Blue Eye," Jackson is seen posing solemnly
in a studded black blazer with a glittery blue circle enveloping
his left eye. The 12 prints, each numbered "one of one," will be
up for auction October through December with an opening bid
of 1,000 Euros. Fifty contact boards from the photo session will
also be auctioned off.

According to the AFP, Jackson entrusted Bani to photograph
him after seeing Bani's work in the Sunday Times' Style magazine.
Bani's shots were originally destined to become artwork on Jackson's
final studio album, 2001's Invincible, but the record company
ultimately decided on other imagery.

The auction house has indicated the photographs will be published
in undisclosed locations worldwide in October.

Once upon a time, late pop icon Michael Jackson was
a student at Gardner Street Elementary in Hollywood
whose after-schoolactivities included being in a singing
group with his brothers.

In 1989, the star attended a ceremony during which
the school's auditorium was named in his honor. But in
2003, the name was covered up with boards.

Following Jackson's death in 2009,
a group of fans campaigned the have the name restored
to the campus facility, and this week, their wish was granted.
Yesterday , Oct. 15th the boards were removed from
the auditorium and the silver letters re-revealed.

“It’s important for the District to value the artistic impact
and humanitarian contribution that will be the lasting legacy
of Michael Jackson,” said Los Angeles School Board member
Steven Zimmer via a press release.

"I’m happy that we will be recognizing and appreciating
Michael’s LAUSD moment.”

Gleaming silver letters across the front of the
building now read:

"The Michael Jackson Auditorium"

MEMORIAL TO: JOHN WINSTON ONO LENNON

Strawberry Fields is a 2.5-acre landscaped section in
New York City's Central Park that is dedicated to the
memory of the musician John Lennon.

It is named after the Lennon/McCartney song
"Strawberry Fields Forever".

The entrance to the memorial is located on Central Park West
at West 72nd Street, directly across from the Dakota Apartments,
where Lennon had lived for the later part of his life, and where he
was murdered.

The memorial is a triangular piece of land falling away on
the two sides of the park, and its focal point is a circular
pathway mosaic of inlaid stones, a reproduction of a mosaic
from Pompeii, made by Portuguese craftsmen as a gift from
the city of Lisbon.

In the center of the mosaic is a single word, the title of
Lennon's famous song: "Imagine"

Oct. 6, 2010 Mr. Joseph Jackson's Court Appeal

"I must beg this court's forgiveness. I must beg the probate

court's forgiveness. The magic words 'wrongful death' did not

pass my lips," Oxman said.

On a cold dreary rainy afternoon in Downtown LA October 6th,

the court came to session shortly after 1:30pm PST.

Everyone gathered upon clearing security and then were

ushered into a large courtroom that was greeted by staff

and a sheriff standing at the top of the podium where the

judges would walk in and be seated .He stood awaiting the

knock, the knock came at the side door , the door opened,

All Rise , and in walked 5 judges.

Behind closed doors, strict security measures, no cell phones

allowed, the court was now in session where a small group of

about 7 reporters including myself would be privy to hearing

the plea to the courts, arguments by attorney Brian Oxman,

who represents Joe Jackson, were heard by a three-judge

panel of the California Second District Court of Appeal 's

court in the Dowtown Ronald Reagan State Building.

Joe Jackson has appealed a probate court's dismissal of his

objections to the appointment of attorney John Branca and

music executive as well as family friend John McClain to

oversee the pop singer's estate.

Judge Beckloff had ruled in November that the Mr. Joe

Jackson did not have standing to intervene in the case and

was not entitled to an evidentiary hearing to contest the

administrators.

Associate Justice Laurie D. Zelon asked why Joe Jackson had

withdrawn a petition to receive a monthly stipend from the

estate before the probate court had a chance to rule on the

request.

Oxman said the petition had seemed duplicative after Joe

Jackson filed a wrongful death lawsuit in June against a doctor

who has pleaded not guilty to involuntary manslaughter in the

death of the pop star.

His client "was placed in the intolerable position of paying for

the wrongful death proceeding himself, which would cost him

hundreds of thousands of dollars,' Oxman's court papers state.

Zelon also noted that Oxman hadn't told the probate court

that his client was considering the wrongful death lawsuit.

" It was a suprise the wrongful death suit " Oxman declared.

Attorney Howard Weitzman, who represents the estate,

countered that pursuing the stipend petition would allow

Joe Jackson to be questioned under oath about various other

matters. I think Judge Beckloff gave Mr. Oxman every opportunity

to give sufficient offers of proof,' said Howard Weitzman, attorney

for Branca and McClain.

Mr. Joe Jackson did not want to be accused.

"They just don't like him your honor." explained Mr. Oxman

regarding the Estate and Mr. Joseph Jackson."

They never allowed him to bring in the evidence and as

Mr. Oxman gracefully put it "We dont know all the evidence

at this point" .

The personal damage to Mr. Joseph Jackson

for his life was in Michael Jackson's death.

The appeals panel did not issue a ruling but did question the

legal steps Joe Jackson had taken after being left out of his son's

will and whether the moves warranted revisiting the challenge

to the administrators.

The Late Home of Michael Jackson.

The 100 N. Carolwood sign that once sat on the
NW corner of Sunset/ Carolwood Intersection is now toast.
There was an accident, another one , someone ran it over.

The old Mailbox which the tourbus hit in early summer
was once the infamous mark where everyone stood to get
the picture, the picture of Michael Jackson rolling...
coming out of the Great Iron gates here at 100 N. Carolwood . The mailbox has now been replaced. Tourbus company paid for it.

Carolwood, it's all the buzz.

The message yesterday was Bonnie is here.
She's here infront of the drive, blocking a car
that is coming out ..

5:10pm on Saturday, Oct 2nd..

If I can get in, He will lead me and show me where to go
He will show me where everything is...she was convinced
to get in and find the messages. the clues that possibly
were left behind...


Those were her words. She went onto say
He posted notes messages on post-its...and placed them
in various locations in and around the house.

Michael has sent her a message...


Various sources say this woman is well known for
her work in Paranormal Activity and has found missing children.
